Nunnally Blanket Knitting Pattern

Today's post would not be possible without the help of fellow Ravelry member, rhiannonmrl. She has helped me find one of my long lost (and most requested) patterns! Thank you so much Michelle! I honestly never thought I'd find the pattern again.

This blanket is so fun to knit up with it's easy lace pattern. It's the perfect project for someone who has never done lace before because there isn't much to the design. The lace design is only a dozen or so stitches long so it's easy to remember and keep track of.

I have made three of these blankets, (1) [2] {3}, and it was the perfect project to do while watching Aaron play games or while we watched a movie. After the first few rows muscle memory takes over and the blanket practically knits itself.

You can get your copy of the pattern here, here, or here.

I Found It

The day I moved my blog from my .net to Blogspot I knew, knew, I should back my patterns up somewhere just in case something happened. Even though I made back ups for my patterns, one slipped through the cracks~ Alena. It was such a bummer because this one was probably the most fun to make and knit for me.

Tonight I was thinking about trying to rewrite the pattern from the pictures but before I did that I decided to check a few more places for the pattern. I'm so glad I did because I FOUND IT! Somehow it got mixed up with some of the store's folders on the computer.

My favorite part about this pattern is that the cables don't actually require a cable needle. It's a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang on it (which is pretty quick in my opinion) you won't want to use a cable needle again. Ok, so that might be a bold statement, but I do think you'll like this technique!

You can snag the pattern on Ravlery, on the pattern page, on here.

I am off to cast this on on some pretty sparkly white yarn I found. What have you been crafting lately? <3

Yarn Time

I think Rinoa is trying to tell me something, hehe!

The main reason I didn't knot much for Dean while I was pregnant was because I wanted to make sure the items would fit him.  Now that I can check sizing as I go i can't wait to start knitting.

Little booties.  Cardi's.  Oooh I can't wait to get started!  Once my tindinitis chills out be prepared to see a ton of little knitted items!!

Dreams of Yarn

It's slow progress on the Sideways Braided Shrug... I had to unravel a few inches because I was watching a show and not paying attention to what I was knitting lol. So even though this pic was taken over a week ago, it's still about this size. I'm about to change to size 19 needles so it will start getting big quick here soon.

Speaking of size 19's! I found the most amazing yarn at Michael's the other day that is thick & chunky and p e r f e c t for the 19's. This Red Heart Vivid in Coral is going to be mine soon. It's either going to be knit into this

Lace Afghan

or

Newborn Baby Blanket

It's going to be amazing and super comfy and snuggly and perfect!

Some other items I want to knit~

Marshmellow Fluff

Bold Stripes Wrap

Baby Chevron Legwarmers

Baby Fur Topped Booties

Blue Sand Cardigan

Retro Flying Helmet

Ahhh so many fun patterns to knit and just not enough time. My heart just flutters when I look at these patterns and when I think about knitting my own. *^_^*

Do you have any projects lined up to work on or any that you're dreaming of doing?

What's On The Needles

First off, before I get to knitting, did I ever tell you that I wanted a nickname for my baby? I do. It might be silly, but I have this strong desire to have a little pet name for my little guy that only I (and Aaron if he wants) call him. I don't know, I just feel like having a cute little name that I refer to him as while I'm snuggling with him, playing with him, or even just blogging about him. After a ton of debating with myself, I finally thought of something I like.

He's my "little cub".

That being said, I cannot wait to start knitting for my little cub! Think. of. all. the. cute. little. things. he. can. wear! So to be able to buy all the yarn I need for these projects, I'm currently trying to work my way through my current stash (of all girly colored yarn) and am making things for my nieces.

Matching cardigans for both girls.

More slippers for my sister's youngest

And for myself, I'm still working on that shrug.

Soon though, I'll be out shopping for yarn for him and I'll be posting billions of pics of the cute things I make him. I'll do my best to hurry so you can see them. *^_^*
