Time

>

Every moment I look into Dean's eyes I want to live in that moment. That perfect moment.

Did you ever see the move Star Trek Insurrection? Captain Picard and his lady share in a moment where time slow down almost entirely. It's beautiful. That's what I think about when I'm with my baby. I try to memorize everything, every detail, in that point in time. Try to slow things down so I'll never forget it.

That's totally cheese-tastic, and cliche, but it's totally true. It's one reason why I haven't been posting much here~ I want to spend every waking moment staring into my baby's soul.   O.O

Was that intense sounding?   Lol, I might be a little hardcore and obsessed with my baby.  Next week Dean will be two months old, and I can hardly fathom it. Time has flown by so fast and so slow all at the same time! I just can't get enough of this little guy.  He's been doing so many things!

He's been trying to lift his head for over a month now.  People are amazed when they see him moving his neck and head.  While his neck isn't ready for tummy time yet, he's working on it.

He's kicking his legs like it's nobody's business.  He's his father's son no doubt.  Aaron's mom told me that Aaron was climbing out of his crib at around 12 months.  That's a terrifying though considering how mich he enjoys being held up standing and kicking off.  A bouncy saucer toy is in our near future I'm sure.

He has started cooing back when you talk to him. Today he had this long one sided conversation with my Dad. My dad, mom, aunt, and I all just watched as he went on and on, cooing and awe-ing and laughing. Oh my gosh it was the cutest thing ever!!

Dean has also started swinging at and hanging onto the dangling toys we put on his carseat and bouncer.  For some reason I didn't expect this so soon, I don't know why.

Maybe it's because I forget he's only seven weeks old.  Maybe I need to do more reading up on babies.  Either way, this baby is hogging up all my time and I love it.  So on that note, I'm going to go curl up in bed and watch him sleep while I attempt to read.

Nite nite everyone!  <3

P.S.  My friend Eve is doing a giveaway in her blog for some super awesome looking face masks.  Go check her out: http://www.quenne.net

Silly Faces - Baby Version

It's been so long since I've done a "silly faces" picture/post!  They're so fun and goofy. Especially when there's a cute little baby to take them with!

I was trying to get some cute pics of Dean helping me sort through cards the other day and these are some of the out-takes.  Can you tell I was tryin to copy his faces?  It's amazing how fast baby's facial expressions change!

The moments while he'a awake and we're hanging out are so precious to me.  Every single minute with this little guy is one I want to freeze in time.  Guess that's what camera's are for, right?  So be prepared to see more of these in the future!

Silly

Hey guys! Know what is really fun? Making goofy faces and taking pictures.

It's also fun to do this at word and getting caught. Aaron laughs when I do this and says I look really guilty when I notice someone's watching. xD To each their own, right?

Happy Sunday!

Awkward and Awesome v3

Awkward
- A guy at the Giants game starting talking to me souly on the basis that I was wearing a beanie. I guess people in San Fran don't wear beanies?
- Being told by traffic cops in San Fran that we would be mugged by seals if we walked back to the BART instead of taking the trolley.
- Feeling like my face looks puffy in all my photos.
- Not having posted about my PAX experience yet... it was, you know, only a month ago!

Awesome
- Traveling to Berkeley and San Fran for our anniversary.
- Going to a Giants game
- Taking pictures of Google Map directions on my ipod since we don't have 3G so we can figure out where we were going while walking around Berkeley.
- AT&T Field HAS FREE WIFI! How cool is that?!
- Aaron upgrading our tickets to the orchestra to VIP so we were able to meet and talk to Kumi Tanioka, Naoshi Mizuta, and Arnie Roth. *^_____^*
- Wondering around the U.S.S. Jeremiah O'Brian battleship.

Best Of ~ For Realz!

Monday is for making faces.

Faces for happiness, gratefulness, goofiness, and silliness. There are more reasons to make faces, but these are the reasons for mine today.

All these reasons should shine through my face each day. All my happiness. All my gratefulness. My wish is that everyone would be able to see my silliness and goofiness and know just how happy and grateful I am.

Sometimes I let things get in between me and my wish. Sometimes I let my stubbornness get the best of me. Which is such a dumb thing to do. Why should I do that?! Why would I do that?

I am so happy and grateful for what I have in my life. Every single person and thing I have in my life is a blessing. I never have the words I want to express just how happy and appreciative of my life. Until the day I find those words, I'm going to keep trotting and bumbling along.

This is where a good segue should go. Something about how I "bumbled" around my blog and found more detailed stat tracking for my blog. These new details showed me that I was wrong on that "Best Of" post I did the other day. Not just wrong but 100% wrong. When I wrote that post I was looking at the stats for that day, not all time. Oops.

So, for realz this time~ here are the best of all time posts here on KnittedFox Trot (aka the posts with the most traffic).
